Veloplzen Alley Kitten

This is a classic alleycat-style race through the streets of Calgary. Riders will be obligated to pickup a playing card at random
checkpoints and return to the finishing location as fast as possible to play out their hand. Afterwards the top 3 fastest males and females will be awarded along with the best poker hand. The party will be held in conjuction with The Calgary HardCourt Bike Polo Club. The Party will also be the kick off Party for the 2010 Ramsay Bowl Bike Polo Toureny. The party is for all competitors who compete in the Ally Kitten or the Ramsay Bowl Tourney. There will be lots of pick up polo and possible goldsprints.

Is there anything better than spending a night of mayhem on your longboard while sampling many beers from Calgary's local pubs? Nope. So come and join us for the 5th annual Lords of Cowtown - Longboard skateboard pub crawl. If you don't have a longboard, steal one. Short boards and cruiser bikes welcome but may be subject to ridicule from the longboarders.
The Alberta Ride To Conquer Cancer

A team of riders from Veloplzen will be riding 200 km over a 2 day period to raise money for cancer research, education and support.
Everyone can do this ride, some of us will be riding fast but some of us will just be riding to enjoy the mountains and fresh air. There will be great food, massage therapists, tents already set up for you, and a huge list of other perks.
We all know someone who has had cancer or is dealing with cancer now. We want to do something to help.
So join our team, ride, have fun and meet new people and see a new part of Alberta close up.

Rides are open to all club members, friends and family of members are also welcome. For events that will have Steam Whistle and other bevrages that dont taste as good Steam Whistle we ask that you be over the provincal drinking ageof 18.
